Driving Directions

From Birmingham International Airport (20-25 minutes)

1. From the airport, take Messer Airport Highway to I-59/I-20.
2. Merge onto I-59 South/I-20 West to Tuscaloosa/Downtown.
3. Travel 3.2 miles to Exit 126A and merge onto US 280 East/US 31 South/Elton B. Stephens Expressway.
4. Continue on US 280 East/US 31 South for 3.4 miles.
5. Merge onto US 280 East/AL 38 East to Sylacauga/Zoo Gardens.
6. Travel on US 280 East for 5.1 miles and go across the bridge over I-459.
7. Stay to the far right and turn onto Colonnade Drive.
8. At the traffic light, turn right onto Blue Lake Drive.
9. Go under the overpass and turn onto the first street on the left. This is 3500 Blue Lake Drive, and takes you to the Emmett R. Johnson Building.

From Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, GA (2.5 hours)

1. From the airport, follow traffic signs to I-285 North.
2. Merge onto I-285 North/GA 407 North.
3. Travel approximately 7.5 miles to Exit 10B (I-20 West, Birmingham).
4. Merge onto I-20 West to Birmingham.
5. Travel 128 miles to Exit 136 (I-459 South, Tuscaloosa/Montgomery).
6. Merge onto I-459 South to Tuscaloosa/Montgomery.
7. Continue on I-459 South for 9.5 miles to Exit 19 (US HWY 280 East, Mountain Brook/Childersburg).
8. Merge onto US HWY 280 East to Childersburg.
9. Merge to the far right and turn right onto Colonnade Drive.
10. At the traffic light, turn right onto Blue Lake Drive.
11. Go under the overpass and turn onto the first street on the left. This is 3500 Blue Lake Drive, and takes you to the Emmett R. Johnson Building.
